week 3

synchronicity:

If synchronicity is defined as coincidence then I don't believe in it. I feel that it is more our limited understanding of the universe that makes unexplainable things seem magical at times. As in Bell's article there might be an fundamental level of connectedness that all things play part to. If you take this idea and skew our understanding of time then it is possible for things to happen simultaneously or even, in our limited understanding, in the future.

explaining Connectivity:

Once again I like Bell's idea of an fundamental level of connectedness. Based on what I know, things are always happening that prove there is a permanent connection. For example, when hanging out with friends, I have answered a question they asked, and they look over at me and are surprised. When I ask them what or why they're surprised they respond, that they were thinking of asking me that question but didn't say it out loud. Another example would be this woman I know dreamt of a dog and had this odd feeling that it was her dog but in waking life she didn't have a dog. About a month later her friends friend had to move and needed to find a home for their dog, it was the same dog she dreamt about, they now live together(her and the dog that is). As in my answer to the first question I think things are always connected, its just the level of awareness one has, as well as the level of awareness one is able to have, that make things seem strange or not. Because I'm a conspiracy theorist, I believe its the few people in power that go threw a lot of trouble to keep people as disconnected and numb as possible, otherwise the mental hospitals would be overloaded with all the madness that is going on in the world.

What we wrote is very similar. I, too, often have that experience of answering a question that hasn't been asked, or knowing what's going to happen before it does.

It freaks people out but I just see it as the way that I think, or the way that I see. What's interesting about it for me is that I absolutely can't force it in any way. If I try to foresee or try to anticipate what people are thinking, it never works out that way. But when I'm relaxed and open, it comes upon me, exactly as I need it and exactly when I need it.

It's great and I should be really thankful. It's very helpful to know I'm going to need a piece of equipment or something before going into a house on a call. Or knowing that I'm going to need police back up before I go into a scene where a guy is brandishing a gun. But if I could just see those lottery numbers - just the one time - that'd be great too!
